This safe is awesome! The quality, fingerprint scanner, and overall size are spot on. I can easily keep my guns nearby while watching TV, and it blends in like a laptop. It gives quick access in a flash when needed. Overall, it's a solid product.
This safe is fantastic! I use it for my handgun, and it gives me peace of mind knowing I’m the only one who can access it. You can register multiple fingerprints, and the option to mute the beeping is a nice touch. The interior light is helpful when accessing it in a dark room. It also includes backup keys in case of issues. Best of all, it’s an incredible product for the price.
It’s easy to set up, with plenty of space for my gun and some ammo. I bought it mainly for the fingerprint option, and it works great!
I’m using this as a general lock box rather than specifically for guns, and it works great so far! The included steel cable helps secure it, making it hard to walk off with. For gun owners, it’s an excellent choice too for keeping firearms away from kids. The fingerprint scanner is reliable. Definitely better than many cheaper models on the market.
I needed a way to keep my safety tool secure but easy to reach at night. I tried a cheap coded lockbox, but when I tested it in the dark, it was a total fail. I couldn't get to my gun quickly enough.
The Shale solves that problem completely. The buttons and fingerprint reader have just enough light to see them without giving away your position, and the inside lights up just enough when you open it. It’s super easy to use once you’ve got it set up—either punch in your code or press your finger. If the fingerprint scanner doesn’t work perfectly at first, try scanning the same finger a few times as separate entries. I did this with my index finger, and now it’s smooth and quick every time.
I’ve got it tucked into my bedside drawer and used the included cable to anchor it to the furniture. One more thing: the lid snaps open pretty fast, so make sure nothing’s in the way, or you might make noise you didn’t plan for.
With this product, I know my guns are ready to go when I need them, without drawing attention.
