At 53 inches tall, there's good storage space for long guns, though you'll want to be selective about what you store as space is still limited by the 5-inch depth. The shelving system needed some improvements for recessed mounting - I had to add some screws to properly secure the gun rack. If the fingerprint scanner doesn’t work perfectly at first, try scanning the same finger a few times as separate entries. I did this with my index finger, and now it’s smooth and quick every time.
I’ve got it tucked into my bedside drawer and used the included cable to anchor it to the furniture. One more thing: the lid snaps open pretty fast, so make sure nothing’s in the way, or you might make noise you didn’t plan for.
